Half-Dollar Collection 1908–2026, Including Rare Key Dates 1932, 1947 ML and 1948 (all dates of issue except 1921, 114 coins total)

This is a comprehensive collection of half-dollars issued in Canada from the year the Royal Canadian Mint opened in 1908 through to 2026. Every date of issue except for the ultra-rare 1921 is included. Key dates include 1911, 1914, 1931, 1932, 1934, 1936, 1947 Maple Leaf and 1948. Three different major types of 1947 coin are included. The King Edward and George V coins are in excellent collectable condition, while the quality of the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth coins is superb. The collection will come displayed in two high-quality mahogany grained wood cases. Fifty-one coins are struck in silver.

Rarities:
Within all denominations in the 20th and 21st centuries, there have been only 15 coins with a mintage below 100,000, and only nine coins struck with a mintage below 50,000. This set includes six coins with a mintage below 100,000, with five of these having a mintage below 50,000. The 1932 half-dollar is the rarest coin in this collection. With an original mintage of just 19,213 pieces, this is Canada's second-lowest mintage coin ever, just 433 pieces higher than the 1948 silver dollar, and about half the mintage of the rare 1948 half-dollar, which is also included. Because the 1932 coin circulated much more widely than the 1948 dollar coin, surviving examples are actually much rarer than the ultra-rare 1948 silver dollar.
