Product Overview
This collection includes every one of the first 18 dates of issue silver dollar prestige proof sets produced by the Royal Canadian Mint dating from 1973 to 1990, together with an additional bonus 2019 proof set. Not only are these proof sets the highest-quality coins issued from the Mint each year, but the actual sets included in this product have been carefully selected to ensure they are still in near-perfect condition. This is an extremely important consideration for collectors, as many of the earlier dates are rarely found without some damage from handling or improper storage over the years. All of the coins dated from 1973 to 1980 are double-struck with a deep mirror finish, while the coins dated 1981 to 1990 feature a striking frosted cameo contrast effect.

The coins from each year between 1973 to 1990 are presented in the original genuine black leather cases of issue. The spine of each set is embossed with the year of issue, creating an attractive shelf display. The sets from 1973 to 1987 were enhanced to include both a nickel dollar and a special commemorative dollar coin struck in silver, and are presented in a two-sided book-format display case. The commemorative silver dollars in each set present a glimpse of Canadian history, including important people, places and events that encapsulate our great country.
