Product Overview
This $5 fine silver three-coin set by the Royal Canadian Mint presents images of some of Canada's most famous art by Cornelius Krieghoff, one of Canada's most well-known and celebrated artists of the 19th century. His iconic images of life among the French-Canadian habitants and Indigenous peoples of Quebec helped to shape Canada's early visual identity and captured an important moment in the history of the nation. Mintage for this set is limited to just 7,000. An attractive red wooden box houses the artistic coins, making this perfect to display as art as well as being a scarce collector's item.

The reverse of each of these three coins features an engraved detail from one of three famous works by Krieghoff, including Hunter in Winter, c. 1855–1865; Moccasin Seller Crossing the St. Lawrence at Quebec City, c. 1853–1863; and Indian Wigwam in Lower Canada, 1848. Each coin features the artist's signature, which has been carefully reproduced by the Royal Canadian Mint and engraved onto the reverse.

Each coin weighs about an ounce of pure silver and each coin has been double struck with the Royal Canadian Mint's highest-quality proof finish.
