Classic Canadian Coin Set, 2021

$5 Moments to Hold: 25th Anniversary of Canada's Arboreal Emblem, 2021
Although the maple leaf has served as a symbol of Canada since long before Confederation, it has only been 25 years since the iconic symbol was adopted as an official national emblem. This 2021 five-dollar quarter-ounce fine-silver coin marks the 25th anniversary of the maple leaf as our arboreal emblem and features three sugar maple leaves beneath the text "Canada." The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

• It takes about 40 litres of sap to make just one litre of syrup

Klondike Gold Rush Keepsake Coin Set, 2021
This seven-coin set makes the perfect 2021-dated Canadian gift or collectible which also tells the story behind the coins. The set includes high-quality numismatic uncirculated examples of all the denominations in circulation from the five-cent coin to the two-dollar coin. The coins are presented in an attractive full-colour presentation folder.

The special-issue one-dollar coins take us back in time to mark the 125th anniversary of the Klondike Gold Rush. Following the first discovery of gold on August 16, 1896, a stampede of close to 100,000 prospectors made the arduous trip to northwestern Canada's Yukon Territory. At the confluence of the Klondike and Yukon rivers, Dawson grew from a few hundred people in 1896 to about 30,000 by the summer of 1898. This gold rush coin combines the excitement of prospecting with recognition of the lasting impact the gold rush had on the Indigenous peoples of the area.

About the Klondike Gold Rush
Gold was discovered in mid-August 1896 by George Carmack, an American prospector; Keish (a.k.a. Skookum Jim Mason); Káa Goox (a.k.a. Dawson Charlie); and Shaaw Tlàa (a.k.a. Kate Carmack), Indigenous Tagish members into whose family Carmack had married. When word of the discovery reached the outside world in July 1897, it sparked an unprecedented influx of prospectors. Tens of thousands of would-be prospectors left their homes all over the world, though mainly from the United States, and headed for the Klondike.

Signing of the United Nations Charter Collector Keepsake, 2020
Celebrate the fundamental tenets of peace, tolerance and equality with this new special-issue RCM seven-piece coin set. Marking the 75th anniversary of the United Nations (UN), this set includes both a coloured and a classic version of Canada's new one-dollar commemorative coin together with numismatic uncirculated examples of each denomination issued for circulation. Out of the chaos and devastation of the Second World War came a new era of global cooperation. Allies in war became allies for peace as representatives from 51 nations, including Canada, signed a treaty to establish a new world body, which came into existence on October 24, 1945. Its purpose: to "save succeeding generations from the scourge of war" by promoting diplomacy, universal rights and international peace. On the 75th anniversary of the charter and the establishment of the UN, Canada's 2020 one-dollar commemorative circulation coin celebrates this nation's role as a founding member of and as a contributor to world peace.

Five-Coin Set: 25-Cent Finish Collection, 2020
This unique and affordable 2020 25-cent collection showcases five different finishes the RCM can apply to various coins. By using the well-known caribou quarter design, attention is drawn to the coin finish which differs on each piece. The first three finishes shown include "brilliant uncirculated" as used for business strikes and numismatic uncirculated sets; "frosted proof" as appears in classic proof sets; and "specimen" as appears in modern RCM specimen sets. While 2020 quarters with these three finishes may be possible to obtain in other collections, the set also includes two more finishes which are not normally seen on the 25-cent denomination. These are "reverse proof" and "matte proof," and these unique coins will likely be the most sought-after in the collection.
