Issued by Solomon Islands with a weight of 100 grams (over three ounces) of fine silver, the coin uses innovative four-layer minting technology to create a deep bowl-like effect showcasing multiple layers of the intricate Forbidden City. The addition of a soft antique finish gives each piece an added sense of gravitas equal to its historical and cultural importance.
The designs mimic the architecture featured in the Imperial Palace and includes a dragon in the middle of the coin. The coin's obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II along with the coin's weight, purity and denomination.
