Product Overview
Own a piece of Canadian history with 10 original mints rolls (500 coins total) of Canada's scarce last one-cent coins—five rolls in copper-plated zinc (non-magnetic) plus five rolls in copper-plated steel (magnetic). The rolls include a special collector last-issue wrap.

After a 154-year history, Canada's one-cent coin was officially discontinued on May 4, 2012. While the brief production time for 2012 resulted in mintages lower than most other years, a large portion of the original mintage was also melted down and recycled by the mint for their metal value after the cent was officially discontinued. This substantially adds to the scarcity and desirability of Canada's final cent coin issue.

Two Types of Coins Issued
To make this issue even more interesting, two distinctly different types of coins were produced during the short production run. The first coins were produced using magnetic copper-plated-steel blanks, while coins produced after this first run were struck using non-magnetic copper-plated-zinc blanks.

Superb Quality Coins
While all the 500 coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition, advanced collectors will recognize that the highest condition premium uncirculated examples are often found in this type of original mint roll. Most of the coins in the rolls will grade as choice to near perfect gem uncirculated (MS-63 to MS-67). Each roll contains 50 coins.

Three Historic Bonus Coins
Three historic cent coins are also included showing a retrospective of Canada's major cent designs dating from 1920 to 1964. The coins include one example of each type from the reign of King George V (1920–1936), King George VI (1937–1952), and Young Elizabeth (1953–1964).
