Product Overview
This premium presentation collection includes all the highest-quality double-struck proof coins issued for collectors in 1977. The collection includes pristine mirror-finish examples of the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half-dollar, and nickel dollar coins, together with a special-issue Queen Elizabeth II silver jubilee commemorative silver dollar. A large brilliant uncirculated silver jubilee commemorative crown (25 pence) coin is also included. All eight coins come presented in a glass-top mahogany-finish display case.

The large silver dollar commemorates the 25th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The design depicts the throne of the Senate of Canada, which is used by the Queen or the Governor General for ceremonial occasions. The obverse of this coin was specifically designed for this coin and bears a special legend and the dates "1952–1977." The nickel dollar bears the popular design of an Indigenous person and a voyageur in a canoe which appeared on the first Canadian silver dollar issued in 1935. Other denominations include the 50-cent coin which features the Canadian coat of arms, a 25-cent coin featuring the familiar caribou, a 10-cent coin featuring the Bluenose schooner, a five-cent coin featuring the iconic beaver, and a one-cent coin with the maple twig design.

Silver Jubilee Crown (25 Pence) Coin
On the occasion of the silver jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977, this special-issue coin was issued featuring Her Majesty on one of her favourite horses. The ornate obverse shows the ampulla and anointing spoon that were used in the coronation ceremony. These had been renovated for the coronation of Charles II, are believed to date respectively from the 14th and 12th centuries, and to be the oldest items in the regalia to have remained in continual use.
