Product Overview

Classical beauty, history, rarity and intrinsic gold value come together on this 2026 Allegory of Peace and Freedom one-ounce $200 fine gold coin with a mintage of just 275 pieces. Peace and freedom each stand as noble ideals, but their true strength is revealed in how inseparably they uphold one another. Inspired by the allegorical figures atop Canada's National War Memorial, the design features the allegories of Peace and Freedom (Pax et Libertas), with Peace holding up a laurel wreath while Freedom carries a torch that lights the way forward. The engraved stone motif, as well as the bough featuring a poppy with laurel and maple leaves, deepen the tribute and echo the spirit of the commemorative monument. The coin has been issued as a tribute on the 100th anniversary of the winning design's selection for the commemorative monument. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
