The Master Ultra Thin watch collection epitomizes Jaeger-LeCoultre’s philosophy of uniting technical virtuosity with timeless aesthetics. It reimagines traditional complications with designs that feature rich, clean lines. Among the intricacies, the moon phase remains one of the most mysterious. Like an open window that overlooks the movement of the stars and their secrets through time, it attracts and fascinates. The jewel of the Master Collection, the Master Ultra Thin Moon range pays special tribute to this complication. On the wrist, the Master Ultra Thin Moon promises an exquisitely refined watchmaking spectacle; few timepieces transcend time and fashion with as much discretion as elegance. Since its creation in 1993, the Master Ultra Thin range has attracted and seduced with its apparent understatement which, beneath its highly refined case, conceals astonishing complexity.
Born from a watchmaking tradition appreciated by the elegant man, the Master Ultra Thin collection unites the qualities of Jaeger-LeCoultre's expertise. From its calibre to its case, every Jaeger-LeCoultre luxury watch is designed, manufactured and assembled under one roof in the Vallee de Joux. "Our obsession with quality is renowned as every Jaeger-LeCoultre model undergoes strict '1,000-hour control' testing. This unique program provides internal certification tests that far exceed official chronometry tests. A quality seal is engraved on the back of every watch once it meets our strict standards."
Jaeger-LeCoultre is a Swiss luxury watch and clock manufacturer founded by Anotin LeCoultre in 1833. In 1903, a meeting between Frenchman Edmond Jaeger and Jacques-David LeCoultre of Switzerland changed watchmaking forever. Together, they successfully fused French style and Swiss technique, an approach which still prevails at the Grande Maison today. A celestial complication watch captures the various astronomical cycles, such as moon phases or the sidereal day. It displays them in such a way as to demonstrate how intimately time is linked to astronomical phenomena and celestial bodies. Astronomical watches have played a major role in Jaeger-LeCoultre’s portfolio of exceptional complication watches and have done so since the origins of the Manufacture. Having mastered the three measures of time—solar, lunar and sidereal—the watchmakers of the Manufacture have constantly innovated to create some of the most advanced and precise mechanisms capable of representing, or even predicting, celestial phenomena.
