1950 Choice Uncirculated Cent, ICCS Certified MS-64
Shipping: $9.99
This is a choice uncirculated example of Canada's 1950 cent. It has been independently third-party certified as Mint State 64 by ICCS (International Coin Certification Service), Canada's most respected and trusted grading service. Only a very small percentage of coins from this era have survived in this exceptional condition, making it both visually appealing and scarce for collectors to acquire.
Unlike coins made especially for collectors, business-strike coins like this were normally poured into and out of tote bins by the mint, bulk weighed, counted and then shipped loose to the banks in canvas bags holding $25 face value, or 2,500 coins, which would bang against each other and cause many surface marks. A coin graded as Choice Uncirculated 64 will have far fewer than typical surface marks and a sharp strike, and will be far more attractive than a typical example from the same year.
The coin comes protected and security sealed in a standard ICCS certification holder, including the assigned grade of MS-64 and a unique certification number. As an original coin that is over 75 years old, the silver surface of the coin may have some natural toning or oxidation which is considered desirable by many collectors. The obverse design features the effigy of King George VI.
