Vacuum cleaners are supposed to make our lives easier, however choosing the right one can be a chore in itself! Big, small, bagless, wet, dry, stick, robotic or upright—it's simply downright intimidating choosing the right one for your home. At TSC, we've brought in only vacuums from top brands, including Bissell, Dyson, Shark, so you can rest assured you're getting a vacuum that comes with right amount of performance, maneuverability and suction to fit all your vacuuming needs.
Types of Vacuums:
Upright Vacuum Cleaners: Upright vacuum cleaners are ideal because they work on many different floor types, from deep pile carpeting to wood and tile floors. Upright vacuum cleaners can be bagged or bagless. Bagged uprights usually have HEPA filters to keep the dust and pollen to a minimum, however, the bag needs replacing periodically. Bagless uprights use a container attached to the vacuum, which empties easily.
Stick Vacuum Cleaners: Stick vacuum cleaners are a light version of an upright vacuum cleaner. These types of vacuums are not as powerful as most other kinds, but they work well on bare floors and are good for low-pile carpeting, such as area rugs. They often battery-powered and are good for people who have a limited amount of storage space.
Canister Vacuum Cleaners: Canister vacuum cleaners are powerful like uprights but are able clean in narrow spaces like a stick vacuum. Like upright vacuum cleaners, they can be bagged or bagless They are powerful like upright vacuum cleaners but feature a slender frame like stick vacuum cleaners. They often come with accessories, such as crevice tools and brush attachments, ideal for vacuuming different areas around the house.
Handheld Vacuum Cleaners: Handheld vacuum cleaners are cordless, battery-powered, rechargeable and ideal for cleaning up small areas, such as stairs or hard-to-reach areas. They're useful for cleaning up quickly when it would be bothersome to bring out a larger vacuum cleaner.
Robotic Vacuum Cleaners: Robotic vacuum cleaners are battery-powered and rechargeable, but they clean floors without human assistance. They are usually disc-shaped, meaning they can get under spaces that a normal vacuum cleaner cannot. They tend to be more expensive than other types of vacuum cleaners.
