Product Overview

This is an above-average mid-grade example of Canada's scarce 1911 $1 banknote. This is also the first and scarcer "green line" issue with a green border across the bottom signature panel (as opposed to the black line later issue). The note has been independently third-party certified and graded by the Paper Money Guarantee Corporation (PMG) as Very Fine 25; PMG is one of the largest and most widely recognized companies providing independent third-party grading of coins and banknotes. The note features a double central vignette portrait of Lord and Lady Grey—the Governor General at the time and his wife. The back features in image of Canada's original parliament buildings (which burned down in the Great Fire of 1916).
