Product Overview

This exceptional white gold necklace blends sleek modern craftsmanship with the timeless allure of jadeite jade, one of the world’s most coveted and symbolic gemstones. The piece begins with a refined omega chain, known for its smooth, flexible curvature and polished surface, creating a seamless, elegant drape around the neck. The chain is secured by a hidden box clasp with an additional figure-eight safety catch, offering both security and a clean, uninterrupted line.

Anchoring the necklace is a highly stylized centrepiece that embodies fluid motion and symmetry. At each end of this centrepiece, a high-polished white gold wave motif sweeps inward, gracefully mirroring the opposing side. Nestled beneath each wave is a row of tapered baguette-cut diamonds, precisely set to accentuate the curves. These shimmering diamonds not only add brilliance but also echo the streamlined sophistication of the necklace's overall design. Where the twin wave motifs meet, they converge into a curved, channel-set arc, also adorned with tapered baguette-cut diamonds. Just below, a second set of gently swooping curves holds additional baguette diamonds in semi-bezel and prong settings, adding complexity, dimension, and fire to the design.

Suspended elegantly from this elaborate top section is the focal point of the necklace, a pear-shaped cabochon-cut jadeite jade, oriented point side up. To further emphasize the jade, a round brilliant-cut diamond is bezel-set at both the top and bottom of the jade centrepiece, acting as anchors for a tapered baguette-cut channel-set diamond halo that gracefully encircles the jade, adding sparkle and structural harmony.

Jadeite jade is the rarer and more valuable of the two types of jade (the other being nephrite), prized especially in East and Southeast Asia for its vivid colours, translucency, and symbolic meaning. In Chinese culture, jadeite is regarded as a symbol of purity, protection, and spiritual harmony. It is believed to guard against negative energies and bring harmony and prosperity to its wearer. Known as the "Stone of Heaven," jadeite has been treasured for millennia not only as a material for adornment but also for use in ceremonial objects and religious talismans. In Central American cultures, jadeite was similarly revered, often associated with life, fertility, and the afterlife, and was more highly valued than gold among the ancient Maya and Olmec civilizations.
