18K Yellow Gold Opal, Lapis Lazuli, Pink Sapphire and Diamond Brooch

Steeped in ornate artistry and historical elegance, this yellow gold brooch is a masterful example of Byzantine-inspired design, rich with texture, colour, and symbolism. At its heart lies a glowing oval cabochon cut opal, bezel-set horizontally within a delicate scalloped frame, evoking the soft iridescence and ethereal quality so characteristic of the opal’s shifting play-of-colour. Extending along the horizontal axis of the piece are two marquise-shaped cabochon cut lapis lazuli gemstones, one on each side of the central opal. 

Their deep, velvety blue hue adds a regal contrast to the opal's soft luminescence, anchoring the design with bold, ancient richness. Above and below the central opal sit two vibrant prong-set pink sapphires, each flanked by a pair of brilliant-cut white diamonds, bringing a balanced sparkle and vibrant colour contrast to the overall palette.
