Product Overview

This vintage Association Ouvriere LOCLE open face pocket watch measures 51mm across and has a white dial, black Roman numerals with blue and purple tinted metallic hands. It features a 60 second sub-dial at the 6 o'clock and is stamped case #18085. The back of the case has an engraved crest with leaf and scroll design which would easily accommodate initials. The back of the case opens to reveal the stamped trademarks and further opens to reveal the manual wind movement.

Le Locle is one of the most important ""watch cities"" of Switzerland. Located just West of La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Canton of Neuchâtel, Le Locle was the site of important developments in both the business and technology of watchmaking.  This watch is likely circa 1890.
