Product Overview
Canada’s 1932 half dollar is the second lowest mintage coin ever issued for circulation, from confederation to the present. It had an original mintage of 19,213 pieces, and the only lower one was the 1948 silver dollar, with a mintage of just 433 fewer coins. In fact, surviving 1932 half dollars are likely rarer than 1948 silver dollars, since the half dollar denomination circulated more widely and fewer coins were saved by collectors.
This 1932 half dollar is an attractive mid-grade coin, significantly better than most circulated examples. It has been certified by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) as Very Fine details, with a notation that it has likely been cleaned at some point in the past.
