The large silver dollar marks the 250th anniversary of the Saint-Maurice Ironworks in the Province of Quebec. It features two iron workers in the 18th century. The loon-dollar design features a Canadian loon on water with an island in the background. Other denominations include the 50-cent coin which features the Canadian coat-of-arms, a 25-cent coin featuring the familiar caribou, a 10-cent coin featuring the Bluenose schooner, a five-cent coin featuring the iconic beaver, and a one-cent coin with the maple twig design.
