1991 $20 Out of Register Printing Error PMG Graded Choice Uncirculated 64

Major printing errors on Canadian paper money issued by the Bank of Canada are extremely rare, and visually impressive errors like this note are highly sought after by collectors.  This 1991 $20 note has been printed and cut "out of register." While the back of the note appears normal and the background lithography printing on the face is aligned with the back printing, the dark green intaglio printing on the face is shifted significantly down and to the left. The resulting error note features a white ghosting above and to the right of the queen. The left side of the intaglio printed design on the front goes right to the edge of the note, while the bottom of the portrait of the queen is cut off at the bottom and appears slightly on the top of the note. The note has been certified and graded by PMG as Choice Uncirculated 64.
