2004 $1 Lucky Loonie Sterling Silver Coin

At the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002, a loonie brought a stroke of good fortune to Canada when our men's and women's hockey teams skated to victory over a lucky loonie buried secretly beneath centre ice. The Royal Canadian Mint issued this specially designed lucky loonie to celebrate an Olympic legend, and to wish Canadian athletes the very best of luck in the summer 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.
