Product Overview

This 2015 $5 pure silver coloured coin marks the year of the sheep. The image features an artistic rendering of a gighorn sheep, a native of Canada's Rocky Mountains. The use of colour showcases the sheep's beautiful brown colouring. Nestled within the curl of the sheep's distinctive spiral horn is the Chinese character yang (meaning "sheep" or "goat").

The coin has a low mintage of just 8,888 coins. The reverse is engraved with the word "Canada," the date "2015," and the face value of "5 dollars." The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. As a pure silver coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is HST/GST exempt.
