This collection includes the complete six-piece set of elusive 2016 five-ounce fine silver Big Coins, all presented in an official Royal Canadian Mint wood display case. All of the 2016 Big Coins were sold out from the RCM within minutes of official launch, with demand far exceeding the small mintage of just 1,500 for each coin. Even at new current market prices, these coins remain extremely difficult to find in the secondary market.
All six denominations in the Big Coin series are double struck in .9999 fine silver with a proof finish, with a weight of just over five ounces. Each of the designs is further enhanced with selective colour, bringing our classic coin designs to life in a way never seen before. This low-mintage large-format collection represents the absolute highest quality premier proof coin set for this year of issue. As pure silver coins produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, there is no HST or GST applicable.
