2019 10-Ounce $100 Fine Silver Coin - Canadian Maples plus Exclusive Bonus 1919 Maple Bough Half-Dollar

When the first official coinage for the Province of Canada was introduced in 1858, an elegant bough of maple leaves was chosen for the primary design encircling the words "Canada" and the date of issue. This design was continued after Confederation and appeared on most silver coins issued in Canada until 1936. This simple and elegant maple bough serves as the inspiration for this large-format 2019 $100 10-ounce fine silver coin, which adds exceptional detail and a classic proof finish to the historic design. An extremely low mintage of just 500 coins adds a high level of collectability to the artistic and intrinsic value.

Designed by sculptor Phillip White, the unique maple-themed arrangement features one leaf from each of Canada's 10 native Acer species, which are (clockwise from top right): the bigleaf maple, striped maple, Manitoba maple, Douglas maple, mountain maple, sugar maple, vine maple, red maple, black maple and silver maple. Also engraved on the reverse is the face value "100 dollars," the word "Canada," and the year "2019." The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
