Product Overview

With a worldwide mintage of just 350, this stunning fine-silver five-coin set takes both rarity and intricate design to a new level. The set features five different sizes and denominations: a one-ounce $20 coin, a two-ounce $30 coin, a five-ounce $50 coin, a half-kilo $125 coin, and a 1 kg $250 coin. In total, the collection includes a silver weight of more than 56 ounces!

All five coins feature unique images by artist Steve Hepburn that grow more ornate from the smallest to largest canvas. A maple bough provides a circular frame for a jumble of branches that have grown around each other. These intricately interwoven elements represent a thriving maple tree through the seasons—from the new buds of spring to the fallen leaves of autumn. Each reverse includes the year "2019," the word "Canada" and the coin's face value, which are all engraved along the rim. Each obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

Bonus: Maple Leaf Fractional Set
It is our song, the one that represents every Canadian from coast to coast and across "the true north strong and free." This 2020 Silver Maple Leaf fractional set celebrates the 40th anniversary of the National Anthem Act, and the day when "O Canada" officially became Canada's song.

The set features five different sizes and denominations of matched .9999 pure silver coins with a unique O Canada design. The sizes are 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce, 1/10 ounce and 1/20 ounce, and the coins bear a face value of $5, $4, $3, $2 and $1 respectively.

All five coins feature the same maple leaf-themed reverse design by Lisa Thomson Khan. The double dates "1980–2020" mark the 40th anniversary of the National Anthem Act, which designated "O Canada" as the national anthem of Canada. On the one-ounce coin, the engraved cluster of three maple leaves is tinted with a red colour. The large coin is distinguished by three additional features: a red Swarovski element; edge lettering to commemorate the official proclamation date ("01.07.80"); and an engraved musical staff with the opening notes of "O Canada."
