2023 Super Incuse Two-Ounce $200 Pure Gold Maple Leaf with Selective Black Rhodium Plating

Two ounces of pure gold, an exceptionally low mintage of just 275 pieces, and a striking super incuse design with black rhodium enhancements combine to make this a perfect fusion of classic design, modern technology and scarce issue collectability. This coin's reverse features Walter Ott's iconic sugar maple leaf design, unchanged since the first gold maple leaf bullion coin issued in 1979. The famous maple leaf has been struck using super incuse technology, which gives it an incuse depth of 1.5 millimetres, and enhanced with black rhodium plating. A modified reverse proof finish ensures the focus is on the brilliant relief. The reverse also includes the engraved words "Canada" and "fine gold 2 oz or pur," as well as the purity standard of "9999." The obverse features the posthumous memorial effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, including the $200 denomination, 2023 date and the dates of reign, 1952–2022.
