2024 Super Incuse Two-Ounce $200 Pure Gold Maple Leaf with Selective Platinum Plating

Two ounces of pure gold, an exceptionally low mintage of just 300 pieces, and a striking super incuse design with platinum enhancements combine to make this a perfect fusion of classic design, modern technology and scarce issue collectability.

This coin's main design features Walter Ott's iconic sugar maple leaf, unchanged since the first gold maple leaf bullion coin was issued in 1979. The famous maple leaf has been struck using super incuse technology, which gives it an incuse depth of 1.5 millimetres, and now enhanced with platinum plating. The new maple burst background pattern on both sides of the coin further enhances the dynamic appearance, radiating energy and giving the design elements a fresh new appearance.  

A modified reverse proof finish ensures the focus is on the brilliant relief. The reverse also includes the engraved words "Canada" and "fine gold 2 oz or pur," as well as the purity standard of "9999." The obverse features the posthumous memorial effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, including the $200 denomination, the 2023 date and the dates of Her Majesty's reign, 1952–2022.
