The main design presents an engraved rendering of Bateman's original painting Mustang Country. Set in the prairie grasslands, the scene shows the lead stallion of the mustang herd going down for a morning drink at a slough, where the horse is reflected in the still body of water. The reverse includes the text "Canada 2025," the denomination of "30 dollars" and an engraved reproduction of the artist's signature. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
