2026 $20 Hexagonal Spider Fine Silver Coin Nature’s Delight

This 2026 hexagonal one-ounce fine silver coin is the follow-up to the hugely popular 2025 Nature's Delight: Honey Bee. The coin presents a gold-plated close-up of a spider poised atop its silvery, dew-dotted web—a lattice of natural geometry that glistens like fine Art Deco filigree in the early morning sunlight. The spider is the silent guardian of gardens and fields, delicately balancing ecosystems by keeping insect populations in check. Each silky strand of its web is a testament to precision and patience, capturing not only its prey but also the imagination of those who pause to admire it.

The design by Canadian artist June Steube features Argiope trifasciata, the banded garden orb weaver, plated with yellow gold and perched on its dew-dotted web where it awaits its prey. Positioned at the centre of the design, the spider's poised form draws the eye, underscoring the vital role this tiny web-weaver plays in maintaining ecological balance. Geometric elements such as banding, circles and rays echo its connection to the architecture of its web. The spider and the rim on both sides of the coin are also plated with yellow gold. The obverse features the gold-plated effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
