$5 Imperial Egg Coin with Colour and Gold Plating

This beautiful full-colour egg-shaped coin was inspired by the famous Fabergé eggs produced from 1885 to 1917. Fabergé eggs were the Easter gifts of choice by the last Russian Tsars Alexander III and Nicholas II. Symbolizing life and renewal, this stunning imperial egg coin weighs about three quarters of an ounce of pure silver and combines selective colour with raised gold elements. The full-colour reverse design is reminiscent of a sundial with gold-coloured background and crystals. The obverse features a near-flawless proof-quality finish. This fine silver coin is legal tender in Cook Islands, with a nominal face value of $5.
