This innovative and fun sterling silver coin re-creates the magic of revealing what is inside the wrapped present through the use of thermocolour technology. The coin is itself a square, representing a wrapped gift box. As the coin is warmed either by hands or a warm light, the red wrapping disappears to reveal a toy rocking horse hidden inside. As the coin cools back to normal room temperature, the red wrapping returns to allow the process to be repeated. The coin is dated 2009 and has a legal tender value of five dollars in Cook Islands.
