The Bissell Air220 is ideal for the air purification of large rooms. It filters the air in large to medium-sized rooms like living areas, kitchens, bedrooms, basements, and offices. It is AHAM certified to filter rooms at 258 square feet, providing 4.8 air changes per hour, or one turn every 12 minutes. It features 3 stages of filtration for simply clean air, and engineered with a pre-filter, an activated carbon filter, and H13 medical-grade HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of particles (0.3 microns and smaller) when on its lowest fan speed, helping to remove airborne allergens and irritants like pet dander, dust, pollen and smoke like that from wildfires, cooking and smoking. Its carbon filter features a honeycomb structure, and has thousands of activated carbon pellets to capture gases, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and common household odours from cooking, pets, and smoke. The Bissell Air 220's powerful XL fan draws air through the front of the machine, and then three filters, before releasing clean air from the top of the air purifier. The VOC sensor monitors and provides colour-coded, indoor quality feedback, adjusting to the appropriate fan speed for continuous clean air. It is also equipped with 5 fan speeds, the lowest of which is whisper quiet, making it perfect for bedrooms and contributing to a peaceful sleeping environment. The filter change indicator informs you when it's time for new filters*. There is a discrete cord wrap on the back panel, and filters that can be accessed from the front panel, so you can place it conveniently against a wall in your home.
