Product Overview
2022 was an important year in the history of Canadian coinage, representing the final lifetime issue of coinage bearing the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In this year, the Royal Canadian Mint set aside the first 5,000 rolls of each denomination for circulation and offered them to collectors with a special first-strike wrap. As a separate offering, 15,000 rolls of half-dollars were also minted and issued in special wrap rolls. This complete 2022 special wrap roll collection includes all six denominations together as one full set. These special wrap rolls sold out quickly from the Royal Canadian Mint in 2022 and became challenging for collectors to find after the death of the Queen.
Official 2023 RCM special-issue rolls include the two-dollar polar bear design (25 coins), the one-dollar common loon (25 coins), the 50-cent coat-of-arms (25 coins), the 25-cent caribou (40 coins), the 10-cent Bluenose (50 coins) and the five-cent beaver (40 coins). The six rolls will come carefully wrapped in bubble wrap without a case.
