Product Overview

This 22kt yellow gold pendant is custom hand made in an angled wavy cushion shaped. An image of Ganesh is in the center.  Ganesha (Sanskrit: ????, IAST: Ga?esa), also known as Ganapati and Vinayaka, is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His image is found throughout India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bali (Indonesia), Malaysia, Philippines and Bangladesh and in countries with large ethnic Indian populations including Fiji, Mauritius and Trinidad and Tobago. Hindu denominations worship him regardless of affiliations. Devotion to Ganesha is widely diffused and extends to Jains and Buddhists. Although Ganesha has many attributes, he is readily identified by his elephant head. He is widely revered, more specifically, as the remover of obstacles; the patron of arts and sciences; and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Surrounding Ganesha is a circle made from solid dots separated from one another by open space. An intricate clover-like pattern scallops around the circle and is decorated with filigree, granulation and is augmented with a bezel-set cabochon cut synthetic ruby in each quadrant. Four synthetic rubies are nestled between these swags while an additional thirty-two synthetic bezel-set rubies surround the perimeter. The reverse has two hidden bale openings, allowing a chain to balance perfectly.
