Custom Made 14KT Yellow Gold Opal , Onyx and Diamond Earrings

These outstanding vintage earrings are custom crafted in 14kt yellow gold. They are centered by a most unique combination of an oval shaped opal tablet set into a black onyx foundation which serves to enhance the semi-translucent transparency of the opal with blue, green, yellow and orange play-of-colour. Each earring is further enhanced by a framework of twisted rope, on one side, and an overlapping display of open leaf embellishment, on the other. Each earring also features three round brilliant cut diamonds, 4-prong-set in white gold, evenly spaced atop the leaf detail. These six diamonds combine for .22 carats. Around the back, a gold circle drops from the top, anchoring the post and butterfly, and serves to act as a stabilizer for the earrings on the ear.
