Product Overview

A graceful 10K rose gold floral wreath design brooch, delicately handcrafted and richly adorned with rose-cut diamonds. The design is centered by a six-petal flower, each petal bezel-set with a rose cut diamond, while the heart of the flower is highlighted by a larger bezel-set rose cut diamond, creating a luminous focal point. Branching outward from either side of the central bloom are stylized leaf motifs, three per side.

On both the left and right, the top and bottom leaves are each set with one rose-cut diamond, while the central leaf on each side is set with three rose-cut diamonds, adding visual weight and symmetry to the composition. Rising upward in a wreath-like, semicircular form, the design continues with smaller flowers on each side, identical in form to the central bloom but scaled down. Each of these flowers is similarly set with rose-cut diamonds. Beyond them, another trio of leaves appears on each side, each leaf set with a single rose-cut diamond, maintaining the rhythm and balance of the design. Emerging delicately from the leaf arrangements on each side is a tiffany-style prong set rose cut diamond, symbolizing a budding flower.

A further Tiffany-set rose-cut diamond is positioned between the leaves at the bottom, completing the wreath motif with a final point of sparkle. In total, the brooch is set with 41 rose-cut diamonds. The soft warmth of the rose gold beautifully complements the gentle glow of the rose-cut diamonds, enhancing the piece’s romantic and antique character.

Rose-cut diamonds are among the earliest diamond cuts, originating in the 16th century and remaining popular through the Georgian and Victorian eras. Characterized by a flat base and a domed crown of triangular facets, rose cuts are prized for their subtle shimmer and candlelight glow, rather than the intense brilliance of modern cuts.

Their use is especially well-suited to delicate floral and naturalistic designs such as this wreath brooch. Based on the rose cut diamonds, the handcrafted construction, and the wreath-and-floral motif, this brooch was most likely made in the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1880–1910. During this period, rose gold and rose-cut diamonds were frequently combined in sentimental and nature-inspired jewellery, resulting in pieces that were both refined and poetically expressive.
