14K White Gold Cabochon Cut Glass Doublet Ring with a Blue Topaz and Diamond Setting

This impressive ring features an iridescent and mysterious oval shaped cabochon cut glass doublet at its centre. The doublet consists of a lapis lazuli back, a quartz front and offers the blue/purple/green play-of-colour typically seen in a boulder opal. The surrounding setting spans knuckle-to-knuckle in an oval shape, offering a striking mêlé of colour. Two hundred and ten diamonds surround the center stone and stem into rivers, providing an outward flow and forming an elongated oval shape. The diamonds are complimented by forty-four round, pear and oval shaped blue topaz assembled in alternating rows. Crafted in 14K white gold, this is an elegant ring that makes a statement of confidence, style and sophistication! The interior of the ring is finished with a pierced spider web design. The two hundred and ten diamonds provide a 0.76 carat total weight and the forty four blue topaz combine for 4.11 carats.

While the component parts of gemstone doublets and other creations may occur naturally, the assembled stones themselves aren't natural. For example, a gem cutter may cement a thin layer of natural opal onto a layer of natural onyx. These components are natural, of course, but the combined piece isn't.
