14K Yellow Gold 7.96 Carat Amethyst and Seed Pearl Pendant/Brooch

An ornate, openwork designed frame with delicate floral or foliate motifs, each accented with small seed pearls, creates a scalloped frame around an oval shaped amethyst in this arresting Victorian/Edwardian period convertible brooch/pendant (via flip bale). The piece has a symmetrical, almost star-like shape, giving it an elegant and vintage aesthetic. The combination of rich purple amethyst, lustrous pearls and yellow gold setting is indicative of refined jewellery styles of the late 1800's and early 1900's.
