14K Yellow Gold Garnet and Diamond Bird Motif Brooch

This is a striking 14K yellow gold bird motif brooch, elegantly rendered with a graceful sense of movement and detail. The bird is depicted with its long, high polished neck turned to the right, lending a sculptural, animated quality to the design. A single diamond is set into the visible eye, adding a subtle point of brilliance and character. The bird’s outstretched wings are beautifully articulated, with each feather defined through textured gold work. 

Crowning each wing is a white gold “V” shaped element, creating contrast against the warm yellow gold. Each of these white gold accents is set with a small round brilliant cut diamond, enhancing the dynamic spread of the wings with flashes of light. At the centre of the composition, the bird’s body is anchored by a richly coloured 2.89 carat pear shaped garnet, whose deep hue provides a dramatic focal point. 

Beneath the garnet, four open square gold elements form a stylized representation of the tail feathers, adding a modern, geometric counterpoint to the otherwise organic form. The reverse features a traditional pin fitting, while a discreetly integrated hidden bale allows the piece to be worn either as a brooch or a pendant, offering versatility without compromising the design’s clean lines.
