18K Pink Tourmaline and Diamond Bangle Bracelet

This 18K gold bypass-designed bangle bracelet has princess written all over it! It features two pear-shaped pink tourmalines with a combined weight of 1.61 carats. Complementing each pink tourmaline is fancy scroll and fan design, set in white gold, with 20 round, brilliant-cut diamonds. The yellow gold bangle, with hidden hinged clasp and safety, connects to the white gold double-row bypass, containing a row of 11 prong-set round, brilliant-cut diamonds and a row of 27 channel-set tapered baguette-cut diamonds on each side. The 62 round, brilliant-cut diamonds provide a 1.50 carat weight and the 54 baguette-cut diamonds provide a 0.55 carat weight for a combined total of 2.05 carats.

Tourmaline gemstones are found in a wide variety of colours, including green, yellow, brown, red and pink. In fact, because it has so many colour variations, in earlier times it was often misidentified as other gemstones, thus the name tourmaline, which comes from Sri Lanka where the Sri Lankan words tura malli mean "mixed gemstones." The naturally variable nature of this gemstone means pink tourmaline comes in a variety of shades of pink, from soft pale pink to a darker pink with a brownish undertone.
