18K Yellow Gold BAUME & MERCIER Swiss Made Wristwatch with Leather Band

This beautiful gold vintage BAUME & MERCIER Geneve watch features a 33 mm case diameter with a round white coloured dial and ribbed high polished bezel. It features beautiful crisp lines, a clean finish and signed crown and clasp. It is powered by a Swiss made mechanical movement and is attached to a factory brown colour leather strap. It has gold coloured Arabic numerals at the 3, 9 and 12 o'clock and baton markers indicating the remaining hours. The hands are gold coloured hour and there is a seconds sub-dial at the 6 o'clock. Baume & Mercier’s story begins in 1830. Brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume opened a comptoir horloger (watch dealership) in Les Bois, a village in the Swiss Jura. The Baume brothers’ business grew rapidly, and true to their motto, “accept only perfection, only manufacture watches of the highest quality”, they forged a fine reputation through the creation of exceptional timepieces featuring the latest innovations. During the 1950s and 60s, the company, constantly in pursuit of the equilibrium symbolized by the Greek letter Phi – the current Baume & Mercier logo – laid the groundwork of what is now considered the archetypal traditional round watch. It thus launched various chronographs equipped with functions such as moon phase or triple date displays.
