18K Yellow Gold Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire and Diamond Butterfly Motif Brooch

Meticulously crafted in 18K yellow gold, this colourful butterfly brooch is adorned with beautiful gem-set wings and body. Ten custom-cut polygon-shaped sapphires, 16 custom-cut polygon-shaped emeralds and 28 custom-cut polygon shaped rubies, all channel-set in elongated teardrop shapes, decorate the inside of the wings, closest to the body. The balance of the wings are pavé-set with round, brilliant-cut diamonds, all providing a patchwork of brilliance. The thorax features a 0.29-carat marquise-shaped sapphire and the head, which is topped with tiny ruby eyes, is bezel-set with an 0.18-carat oval sapphire. Two bezel-set diamonds can be found at the tips of the antennae, another two at the bottom of the wings and four additional round sapphires and two round rubies are interspersed with the diamonds in the wings. This delightful nature-inspired jewel has a 4.5-cm wingspan, a total diamond weight of 1.28 carats, and a total gemstone weight of 2.53 carats.
