Custom Made 14K Yellow and White Gold Carved Coral Flowers and Diamond Ring

This most unique ring was custom crafted in gold and features two custom carved corals beautifully articulated in flower shapes. The two corals vary in colour, clearly distinguishing the two. The band is attached to a 14K yellow gold criss-cross wiring that spans the underside and wraps around each stone holding them firmly in place.  

Coral is a well-known ancient gemstone prized throughout history. Unlike most other gemstones which are of mineral origin, coral is organic, formed by living organisms. It forms from branching, antler-like structures created from coral polyps in tropical and subtropical ocean waters. When the coral polyps die, the hardened skeleton remains, and this material is what is used as a gemstone. Most coral is white, but nature can create coral in several other colors, including the popular orange to red forms.
