Product Overview
Five bright-white and sparkling old European-cut diamonds span horizontally across in this classic, timeless ring from the Edwardian Era (1901–1915) bordered by milgrain. It's hand-fabricated in rich 18K yellow gold with a white gold top, and has hand-engraved shoulders and an undergallery. The diamonds combine to total 0.53 carats.
Old European-cut diamonds first appeared in the 1800s and were the preferred cut from 1890 to the 1930s. They had a high crown, small table and flat open culet. As with today's round, brilliant-cut diamonds, they were cut with 58 facets and meant to shine best with candlelight.
