It runs on a quartz movement which ensures that the watch maintains a sleek profile while delivering exceptional precision and reliability. It is attached to the signature Piaget yellow gold bracelet with a fold-over clasp. Some of the most distinctive features of the Dancer bracelet is its slender profile, smooth rounded contours, and distinctive articulated links that are completely integrated with the watch and mimic the grace and fluidity of a dancer's movements.
The links feature a combination of high polished and satin finished surfaces, enhancing the bracelet's visual depth and complexity. The articulated bracelet is perhaps the most iconic feature of the Piaget Dancer. Its design allows for a high degree of flexibility and comfort on the wrist. This bracelet not only enhances the watch’s aesthetic appeal but also ensures a snug, comfortable fit. The Dancer captures the unique aesthetic of the late '80s and early '90s blending Art Deco revival with opulence. The bezel is adorned with 24 round brilliant cut diamonds (.36 carats) that sparkle with unparalleled brilliance against the striking mother-of-pearl dial and minimalist diamond dot indexes indicating hours. Circa 1990s. The screw-back case is stamped with model #80564 and case #827591-02. Comes with the original pouch, instruction manual, information booklet and 2 extra links. Marked: PIAGET K81.
The Piaget Dancer collection was introduced in the early 1980s, a period when the brand was already renowned for its ultra-thin movements and luxurious jewellery watches. The Dancer was conceived as a timepiece that would embody the grace and fluidity suggested by its name, while also showcasing Piaget’s technical expertise and aesthetic sensibility.
Piaget epitomizes daring creativity – a quality that has continued to permeate through the Maison since its beginnings in 1874. From his first workshop in La Côte-aux-Fées, Switzerland, Georges-Edouard Piaget devoted himself to crafting high-precision horological movements. In the late 1950s, Piaget unveiled the ultra-thin movements that would later become the Maison’s trademark. As a true innovator of the watch and jewellery world, Piaget strongly believed in creativity and artistic values.
"It is within the walls of our “Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire” where master artisans continue to harness rare skills that have been preserved and perfected from generation to generation, transforming gold, stones and precious gems into dazzling works of art." The Piaget Dancer collection, launched in 1986, embodies elegance, grace, and fluidity inspired by the art of dance. Known for its ultra-thin design and intricate bracelet links, the collection features slim, rounded cases that exude refinement. The Dancer watches are crafted with meticulous attention to detail, showcasing Piaget’s mastery of precision and craftsmanship. The collection offers a timeless appeal, blending seamless movement with sophisticated aesthetics. Each piece captures the elegance of dance, creating a harmonious fusion of form and function.
