Lady's Sterling Silver and Yellow-Gold-Plated Must de Cartier Paris Swiss-Made Wristwatch

This rare lady's Must de Cartier Paris Swiss-made watch is fashioned in sterling silver and yellow gold plate. It has a 24-mm case diameter, a round black dial, gold-coloured hands, the Cartier double "C" logo at the six o'clock mark and a sapphire crown. It runs on a quartz movement, which means that it runs on a battery. The case number is 18 086973. The watch is attached to an Italian-made black genuine leather strap with a yellow gold-plated buckle. The inner bezel is set with 48 diamonds that combine for 0.24 carats. Les Must de Cartier means "Cartier, it's a Must." Former Cartier President Robert Hocq coined the phrase to describe how sought-after Cartier jewellery and watches were. In 1973, the brand launched a collection of accessibly priced pieces under the "Les Must de Cartier" brand name, and it became the watch to wear for the fashion set. The Must de Cartier line of watches were discontinued in the mid-2000s.
