Product Overview
A striking tribute to the glamour and geometry of the Art Deco era, this platinum 7.25-inch diamond bracelet captures the architectural elegance and refined brilliance that defined 1920s–1930s jewellery design. Masterfully engineered and richly detailed, the bracelet is composed of eight alternating diamond set links, creating a rhythmic interplay of structure, light, and openwork as it encircles the wrist. The first style of link is gracefully curved along both its top and bottom edges. Between these curves, each side is pierced with a modified triangular opening, lending lightness and visual intrigue to the design. At the centre, a vertical rectangular panel bridges the curves, anchoring the composition. This central element features a milgrain trimmed bezel-set baguette diamond weighing approximately 0.14 carats. Above and below the baguette, finely pierced flowing motifs add delicate contrast to the strong linear geometry, while round diamonds fill the remaining surfaces, creating a field of scintillating light against the cool sheen of platinum. Each of these sculptural links is joined by a diamond-set connector, leading to the alternating link design. The second style of link is also curved at the top and bottom, forming an elongated oval silhouette with subtly upturned ends. Its entire centre is pierced, emphasizing negative space, a hallmark of Art Deco design, while the outer curves are fully pavé-set with round diamonds. The contrast between solid, diamond-set platinum and airy openwork enhances the bracelet’s dimensionality and fluid movement. This alternating pattern continues seamlessly around the wrist, culminating in a dazzling total of four baguette-cut diamonds and 175 round diamonds, with an impressive combined diamond weight of approximately 7.56 carats. The bracelet secures with a hidden box clasp, complemented by a fold-over bar safety and an added safety chain for security. Even the tongue of the fold-over clasp is adorned with diamonds, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail carried throughout the entire piece.
Crafted in platinum, a metal that rose to prominence in fine jewellery during the early 20th century for its strength and ability to hold delicate yet intricate settings, this bracelet was likely created during the late 1920s to early 1930s, or shortly thereafter in faithful homage to the period. The Art Deco movement embraced symmetry, bold geometry and architectural influence, drawing inspiration from modern industry, global travel and advances in engineering. Milgrain detailing, baguette diamonds, pierced metalwork and strong linear motifs were signature elements of the time, all of which are beautifully expressed in this design.
