The first ROLEX waterproof watch was unveiled in 1926 and was called the Oyster because it was clamped shut like an oyster shell and could survive under water. This model has a mid sized 36mm case diameter, a round shaped champagne colour dial, gold and diamond set hour markers, gold hands and a gold Rolex logo at the 12 o'clock and a magnified date window at the 3 o'clock. It also contains a sapphire crystal and diamond-set bezel. The serial number is D404120, model number 116233. The watch features a stainless steel and 18K yellow gold Jubilee bracelet with a fold-over clasp signed ROLEX #63203.
The aftermarket bezel is set with fifty-one round brilliant cut diamonds with an approximate diamond weight of 1.55 carats. The diamonds are VS to SI clarity and F-G colour. The hour markers are set with ten diamonds weighing approximately .15 carats of VVS clarity and E-F-G colour.
