The compact and sleek Orbit 130 from GekoGear is a reliable starter dash cam that gives you more windshield space and helps prevent you from driving with distractions. It records at 1080p so you’ll have full high-definition video footage, and it uses a CMOS sensor so you can capture footage in low-light situations. A 120-degree wide viewing angle captures important details of the road such as signs and licence plates, and a G-sensor is also built in, so if the dash cam detects an impact, drastic braking or a hard swerve, it will automatically lock the recording as an emergency file so it won’t be recorded over. An 8 GB microSD card is included (the dash cam supports up to 32 GB), so once installed, the Orbit 130 can begin recording immediately.
