The original earrings were part of a set of wedding jewelry commissioned by Prince Ranier III. Own a piece of history with these replica earrings from the Grace Kelly - Princess of Monaco Collection.
As a first wedding gift for Grace Kelly, Prince Rainier bought a set of jewellery while on their honeymoon on the Spanish island of Majorca, which included a necklace, a bracelet, a ring and a pair of small earrings. Grace loved the design, but when not wearing the set, she wanted larger versions to stand out on their own.
Rainier gave Grace almost everything she wanted and took care of her wants and requests personally, rather than give them to any of his many assistants. When it came to Grace and his children, he never asked others to do what he enjoyed—making his family happy. While on a business trip to Paris, Rainier stopped at Van Cleef and Arpels and had the original Majorca earrings enlarged to Grace’s specifications.
