Product Overview
Collect the history of Canada's last three one-dollar banknotes with this three-part set including a 1954 modified note featuring the original young portrait of Queen Elizabeth when she was only 27 years old, a 1967 centennial issue with "1867 1967" instead of serial numbers, and an uncut pair of the last one-dollar bill ever issued, dated 1973. All the notes are in about uncirculated to uncirculated condition, and come protected in archival-quality mylar display holders.
The uncut notes were never released through the banking system and come from a brief Bank of Canada offering of uncut sheets to collectors shortly before the banknote denomination was retired. One-dollar banknotes were replaced in Canada by new loon-design dollar coins starting in 1987.
