OBD Power Cable (Series 2)

The Nextbase OBD five-metre power cable offers a simple plug-and-play solution for your vehicle. By using your vehicle's OBD port, the dash cam can be connected to a permanent power supply, ensuring it's not only recording while you’re driving but can also access the power in the event of a collision when your vehicle is parked. The OBD port also eliminates the need to use the 12V outlet (the car cigarette socket). Also included is a 90-degree connector for ease of use, as well as an LED indicator light to show when the dash cam is connected and power is available.

Other fixed installation kits are connected to the fuse box of the vehicle, and since electric cars no longer have this classic fuse box, a new solution was neede—this kit is suitable for both.

Dash Cam Installation without Visible Cables
This fixed installation kit provides power to your dashcam. The connection is made via the OBD-II port of the car, so the cigarette lighter port remains free. You can also hide the cables for an unobstructed look.

24/7 Intelligent Parking Mode
This kit makes it possible to use the parking mode of your NextBase Dash Cam Series 2. Once you park and your ignition is turned off, the dash cam automatically switches to parking mode by turning off everything except the G-sensor. The sensitivity of the G-sensor is then drastically increased to record every shock on the vehicle. The recording is not permanent, and it only occurs on an event so it's data-protection compliant.
